Frequently Asked Questions

How do you calculate crypto profit with leverage?
Leveraged crypto profit = ((Exit Price − Entry Price) / Entry Price) × Leverage × Position Size. For short positions, flip the subtraction. Always subtract trading fees (typically 0.04–0.06% per side on Binance) and funding rates to get net profit. Use Pro mode to include these automatically.
How is the liquidation price calculated?
For a long: Liquidation Price = Entry × (1 − 1/Leverage + MMR). For a short: Entry × (1 + 1/Leverage − MMR). MMR is the maintenance margin rate — 0.5% for BTC on Binance. Higher leverage brings the liquidation price much closer to your entry.
What is dollar-cost averaging (DCA) in crypto?
DCA means buying a fixed dollar amount of crypto at regular intervals. Average price = Total Invested ÷ Total Coins Purchased. It reduces the impact of volatility and removes the pressure of timing the market perfectly.
What leverage should beginners use?
Beginners should use 2×–5× leverage at most. At 20×, a 5% adverse move wipes 100% of your margin. Always use stop-losses and never risk more than you can afford to lose.
